Replace 2 boilers with a single one and change its position

Posted by Lena Kirschneck, on
At the moment we have a boiler in the kitchen for the hot water and another in the bathroom (right above the kitchen) for the central heating. We are entirely redoing both rooms and want to replace the boilers with a single combi boiler to save space. The one in the bathroom is currently in an awkward place, taking away a lot of useful space, so we would like to move the position of the boiler as well, perhaps even to the attic. How big a job is this and which is the most efficient way of doing it, putting it in the attic, bathroom or kitchen?

From the list of things you require the job will be quite involved, Relocating the boiler and reconfiguring the Pipework so that one boiler supply hot water and heating to the hole house: Have a chat with your chosen heating engineer and he should be able to advise you about boiler size, position and provide you with solutions to any technical issues.
