My mother has a Potterton Housewarmer Mainflame gas fire. Often when the boiler attempts to fire up there's a constant clicking sound as if it's struggling to initiate and eventually the LED light turns red (instead of green) and my mum has to press the reset button. I've followed the 'fault finder' diagram supplied with the fire and it's telling me that the problem is due to a blocked pilot or inadequate ventilation or flue draught. However, an engineer cleaned and serviced the fire and confirmed that the flue and ventilation were fine, yet three days after he serviced it the red light still comes on very often and she has to keep resetting the thing. Does anyone know why this keeps happening? Thank you
