My mother has a Potterton Housewarmer gas fired electronic back boiler. When the boiler fires up there is a constant clicking sound and then the red LED light comes on instead of the green light and my mum has to press the reset button. I followed the fault-finder plan provided with the installation and the possible causes are a blocked pilot, overheating or inadequate ventilation and flue draught. A heating engineer serviced it and said the ventilation, flue and pilot were fine and the green light came on okay for three days. Now however, the red led light comes on very often again and she has to reset it. What could be the problem please?
