I recommend you keep it to a conventional heating hot water system by just replacing you traditional boiler with a heat only electric Bolier

Which are the best/worst electric combis on the market. I need to install one in a flat in a listed building so cannot go out of the walls. Old boiler is fine but new regs mean the flue is illegal as can't access the joins. Been told electric combi is the way forward
