Coal effect gas fire

The pilot light does not ignite, therefore no flames or heat

Hello Maggie, Majority of gas fires are fitted with an oxy-pilot device. In most cases the air vent of the oxy-pilot becomes partially blocked and produces an incorrect air/gas mixture which causes ignition failure. From experience, vast majority of the time this can be cured by servicing the oxy-pilot (to remove blockage) rather than having to replace the part. Hope this helps. D.E.S.
