Hi Verity, after 45 years of service from your radiators i would suggest a change would be good aswel as a full powerflush after installation. Modern 'convector' type radiators are now much more efficient and will give you a far better heat output. A full powerflush with the addition of a central heating inhibitor will remove the majority of rubbish from your entire heating system and prevent it from becoming as contaminated in the future.
