Thermostat in hallway

Posted by Lisa Johnson, on
Hi, I have a thermostat on a wall in my hallway however I'm convinced it's in the wrong place. My hallway gets quite warm (the sun bounces off the front of my house) but my living room is really cold so when I'm putting my heating on i have to keep increasing the temperature until my living room is warm enough yet my hallway Is too warm. I can't adjust the TVR in the hallway as it's the radiator closest to the thermostat so doesn't have one. Should I get the thermostat moved to the living room as it's the coldest room in my house? Thank you

It’s not quite that simple as you increasing the temperature on the thermostat is exactly the same as moving it to the living room as the hallway will still get as hot I would suggest turning down the flow to the hallway radiator, and making sure the trv as set lower upstairs as do warmer down stairs Hope this helps
