Radiator between units and a wall

Posted by Lloyd Tucker, on
I'm working with a rather narrow galley kitchen where there is an internal doorway on one end and french doors on the other. I'm looking at two positions for a radiator in the room and I'm wondering which one would be optimal: 1. Under a 1 metre wide breakfast bar, beside the French doors 2. In a narrow gap between kitchen units and the wall 1 seems to be a straightforward option, but it would require more pipe work to be done. 2 is a slightly preferred option, but I want to make sure I'm not shooting myself in the foot by placing the radiator in a silly place. For 2, I will have units running all along the long edge of the wall, coming short of the corner where the French doors will be. I can manage around 30-40 cm between the last unit and that wall with the French doors. Would it be a problem if I were to place the radiator parallel to the units in that 300-400 mm gap, or place it on the French door wall, facing the units (590 mm wide)?
