My build in fan oven is not adjusting to the temperature set

My whirlpool built in oven is not working correctly when trying to utilise the fan oven. The fan oven switches on but does not adjust to the temperature set, instead it remains at a very low temperature.
All other areas of the over (including the grill) are working fine.
The initial fault was caused after I switched on the fan oven yesterday, which then tripped part of my electricity, once I switched it back on, the fault then appeared.
