Is it cheaper to tender a bigger job

Posted by Toby Barnes, on
Is it more cost effective to tender 1 medium sized renovation job or several smaller jobs? For example I need to install a new kitchen, decorate the kitchen, install appliances, electrical and plumbing work associated with the kitchen, move and replace a new boiler including blocking up a door and opening up a new door. Can I tender this as one job that would be coordinated by the contractor or should I tender each job?

Hello Toby, it's all depend on your side if you like to be the project manager and look for all the tradesmen from start to finish plus get insurance for the work done or get one building company to look after the entire project plus give you all the certification and guarantee you need at the end of the project. Thank you. Regards, Nish

Hi Toby I would suggest to employ one company who can do all ( from scrstch to fonish) as it will save you a time and money if anything will go wrong ( such us plaster fall off etc) it is always better for one company to do everything as they will carry on on project as they planned I hope this can help Regards Rafal

What would you like to do now?
