Hi Daniel, this days almost all laminated worktops are heat resistant to BS/EN 204, which refers to 'Classification of thermoplastic wood adhesives for non-structural applications (British Standard)' You can not go wrong with any of Duropal or Formica (Axiom) worktops. However, i would still recommend to use some worktop protector rods , you can find some on Unika website, or in your local Screwfix. Here is link to Duropal and Formica worktops: duropal.co.uk/ axiomworktops.com/uk/ Good Luck Lukas

Hi Daniel Most Laminate worktops are constructed in the same way, so they all kind of share the same strength properties. Aside from Stainless steel, you could go with solid wood, which of course can withstand higher temperatures, but can also be sanded down and re sealed. Not quite the answer you were looking for, but hope it helps. Andy

Hello Daniel, All laminated work tops are pretty much the same. Solid wood is an option but granite would be the best material Regards Michael
