Hi Bob Evo stick contact adhesive is best used in this situation. More than likely the edging strip will be slightly wider than the worktop if using the 1/2mm edging. This can be paired down with the edge of a chisel and filed down sometimes too depending on the type of edging strip (there is square edge edging strip which is thicker and easier to work with). You can also get worktop end caps in various finishes, such as black, chrome and aluminium for added protection. Dean Dovetail

evo stick contact adhisive put it on both side and wait a good 15/20 mins it wont matter if it dries as it will bond with they other side as soon as it touches they should be no need to iron it as that is a different type of strip they are 2 one is a glued one they other is an iron on one if you do iron it on dont use a good iron as it can tent to stick to they iron very quickly and ruin your iron.

Evostivk contact adhisive. , then run a warm iron over just to give the glue a good hold
