Moving kitchen to different room

Posted by Marian Mitrica, on
Hi, We plan to move the kitchen from the room is currently located to our living room. We intend to do that in order to have an extra bedroom. The new kitchen will be open plan. We intend to only keep the gas hob, electric oven, washing machine, freezer and dishwasher from old kitchen. The questions: 1. Do I need planning permission to do so? 2. Are there any regulations I need to follow? 3. Who can install a new gas pipe? 4. I might need to move the boiler as well. Does that require planning permission? 6. How long do you estimate the works could take? Many Thanks, Marian

Hi marian Planning permission isn't needed Regulations needed are for the electrical works these must be carried out by a certified electrician andhavecertificate provided for the work and gas works must be carried a certified and gas safe registered engineer Gas safe engineer would do the gas pipe and move a boiler which does not require planning permission Time wise how long is piece of string without full details impossible to say two to six weeks depending on the scope of works Martin wilburn
