Kitchen renovation order

Posted by Tatiana Leontieva, on
Hi, We are planning to start our kitchen renovation soon and are struggling to work out the order in which it should be done. I would really appreciate some expert help on this. We have to replace the existing laminate worktops to MInerva solid surface countertops. The kitchen units and doors will NOT be changed. The tiles are to be removed from the walls and replaced with acrylic splashback. The floor tiles are to be removed from the concrete floor and new tiles are put in place. We also have to change the hood, gas hob and the sink. And the walls need to be painted. Could you give us an idea in which order we shall do it, please? We are trying to save on the costs and do not want to hire a kitchen fitter to coordinate the process. Many thanks in advance.

Hi Tatiana I would remove all tiles and work surface first. Then tile the floor, worktop, sink, hob, and extractor. Finally, splash back and seal the edges. Hope that's helpful. Warm regards, Ron
