Kitchen extractor fan question

Posted by Barbara Thompson, on
We have an old extractor fan in our kitchen which I have never used. It is not connected to the outside at all just sends air to top of cupboards. Because of this I can't see the point in having it. Would it be possible to have it removed and the space made into a cupboard for baking tins?

Yes indeed. Any competent kitchen fitter could do that for you. Extractor hoods that don't vent outside are pretty much for cosmetic purposes only.
