Kitchen unit gap

Unit to house the boiler , had to be cut as the pipes in way. This left a gap of 2 inches between unit and wall . Best way to cover/fill the gap so as to make look a professional job.

Yes cut down a piece of the plinth that is used under the Base units and screw through into it from inside of cupboard
