Join in worktop blown

Posted by Diane Marchant, on
I purchased a new build with a symphony kitchen installed. Within 4 months of us living in the property it started to lift. The place where it is lifting is approx 6-7" from the sink. The closest join to the sink is approx 1". I have contacted symphony and they will not take responsibility as they say I should not have got water on it. It is impossible not to get any water on it at all with where it is. Anwyl do not want to take responsibility as they say symphony fitted the kitchen. Please help

Hi Diane I would say you need to contact the house builder regarding the worktop as they contracted the fitting of the kitchen to the supplier, this sort of problem would come under "snagging" issues that they will rectify. If the builders are still on site you should contact the site manager or sales team, if not contact their customer services. Don't let them fob you off saying you need to contact the kitchen fitters direct, it's their problem not yours, so let them sort it out. Ed
