How do i fry an egg?

Do I put it in the oven or not? I've put it in the toaster and it smelled burnt.

If you put it in the toaster without one of the toaster bags it will be burnt. you could do a roast egg by breaking into a ramekin and baking or you could poack or boil it.,.. failing that a fried egg is nice too.
