Re plastering an internal cracked brick wall

Posted by Daniel Michaela, on
Hi I have an upstairs brick wall in a 1938 house, this sits on joists and has minor cracks due to deflection. I have had a structural engineer survey and he recommends a re plaster with a reinforced plaster mesh. I have taken the wall back to brick and can see the movement lines in the mortar joints. A friend of mine has advised me to dry line the wall with a up foam glue, so as to let the bricks move but keep a good finished skim surface, which makes sense to me, I am looking for advice on which course of action to take, or even to do a backing coat with mesh and then dry line over that. Any advice would be welcome
