Covering artexed cieling

Posted by Cheryl Tomlinson, on
Please can you help, the kitchen ceiling was artexed in the '80's to cover cracks, cracks are visible through the artex, because of risk of asbestos would builders be prepared to board and skim.

Stuart Aitken

Your ceiling can be tested by sending four samples to cavendish labourites, if you google it you will find it. Will cost 21.60. Most plasterers would just overboard though. Stuart Aitken Get it plastered ltd

Yes you could board and skim or you could put a coat of bonding plaster on and then skim finish
