Me ceilings and lower walls have mould

Posted by Sharon Adams, on
Our roof was re-battened and re-felted this summer but we still have mould appearing and damp lower down in some rooms. Our guttering is fine but our fascias need replacing, could this be the problem? Our walls are insulated. or do our walls need re-rendering?

Hi check if the roof is ventilated .vented soffitts .vented ridge tiles and vented roof tiles and do you have the old felt on roof or tyvek has been installed thanks ben

Philip Rouse

You will need to check that adequate ventilation was installed by your contractor. No ventilation of the roof space will cause condensation that will work its way down to the eaves and into the walls.
