Water ingress below bay window

Posted by claire tutt, on
Hi I've recently decorated our front room which included skimming of plasterwalls. But, following the recent very wet/windy weather a small patch of paint has bubbled up beneath the UPVC windows. I've checked the windows and their doesn't seem to be an issue with the sealant but our rendering is very old and does seems blown in parts close to where the water has come in. Been in the house for 2yrs (also windows are approximately 2yrs old) and no problems before but rendering is over 50yrs old, Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi Claire sounds like it is render but without looking at it I would not say 100% but if the render is cracked and blown this can cause water to penetrate through wall causing problems to inside decorations. Hope that helps plasterworx
