What is the difference tween rendering and skimming in plastering. I need a bedroom ceiling addressed and kitchen walls ( in an tenement flat in central Edinburgh )

Hi Claire the difference is rendering is backing plaster on to brick or block work & goes on about 10 / 15 mm .skimming is plaster onto plasterboard And goes on about 3 mm thick . G. Branch plastering
