Pebble dashed external walls

My small bungalow's pebble dashed walls are lumpy and bumpy. I am concerned that removing in order to replace it will cause damage internally e.g to plastered walls. Do you think this will be the case? Is there an easier way to smarten up my walls?

removing the render from external walls rarely damages the internal plastered walls as most modern walls are made up of 2 skins The external render is only attached to the outer skin so removal doesn't effect the internal finish hope this helps Karl A1
