Stains with white powdery substance appearing on internal wall. It is near a old blocked fireplace and we'vetried a number of things externally to stop stain reappearing. Waht is the best thing to do, remove the plaster? Note: it's a 1930 solid brick wall with painted wet-dash on outside.
