Hi the best way to soundproof is dot & dab walls with 12mm sound board & plaster works treat , tried & tested on a few houses , you loose about 16 mm G, branch plastering

Live in 1970s three bed semi, looking to soundproof living room and/or main bedroom party wall to stop neighbour's music/bass?
Hopefully won't lose too much space but need a solution that will be effective?
