DIY gone wrong?

Posted by Ceri Sargunar, on
Hello, We had blown plaster on our staircase (a leaky rook was fixed a few years ago); we took it back to the brickwork and my dad put up new plasterboard using adhesive. He only used half as much as the directions suggested; now the plasterboard still sounds hollow all along when you tap it (this is why we took it all off in the first place...). As we're doing this in order to sell, do I now need to remove it all and start again? With a professional? (sorry, Dad xx)

If the plasterboard is not moving when you push it then it's fixed solid , the wall will sound hollow like a internal stud wall So if not moving plaster & leave. G,branch plastering
