Im just about to start work on my living room as i am having dpc put in, as part of the work they are going to take to walls back to the bickwork upto 1m and replaster with a special mix. I'm just not sure what to do with the rest, will a skim over have the same finish as taking it back to the brickwork and plasterboarding? also how good is insulation boarding? the walls are very old (1900s) and uneven and I want a good paintable finish
