Pva on wall is fine it stops the suction and helps bond the plaster to the wall . Washing up liquid was used years ago instead of a plasticiser to help spread the sand and cement mix , won't do any harm G, branch plastering

I have seen plasterers use washing up liquid in the plaster ....?
Also I have seen a mix of pva and water painted onto the wall before beginning....What are your views on this?
