Had some water damage to my plasterboard kitchen ceiling, on researching it the dreaded artex/asbestos issue raised its head. However I don't know if it is Artex or textured paint. The covering is very thin and peels away in little pieces. I would have expected Artex to be a little thicker and powdery. It is also applied directly to the plasterboard. The house was built in 1977 so I'm aware that if it is Artex it will contain Asbestos.
