Plastering

My dog has scratched two walls in my kitchen and living room quite badly. Will I need to have the whole wall re plastered or can the small area affected just be plastered?

I wouldn't think you would need a plasterer, I would suggest a good quality decorator should be able to fill the scratches easily,
