Ceiling in poor condition

Posted by Lucky Kemibigha, on
Hello, I've had a surveyor report back on a property I want to buy. It states shrinkage cracks in ceiling should be cut out and filled. Ceiling in poor condition and should be renewed, textured coating had been patched and sections of plasterboard may have been replaced. I know it's hard to tell without seing it but does this sound like an expensive job that needs immediate attention?

Hi Sarah. I would probably locate the joists, over board and skim. Final cost would depend on size of ceiling, but would say around £300 for an average ceiling.

Sarah No it's not expensive. There are a few options. Drop board and plaster. Or over board and plaster Lee
