Overboarding with Dot & Dab

Posted by Sam Desai, on
Hi, I am converting a toilet into a shower room. it used to have tiles half way up the wall and the top half was paint on top of lining paper. I have removed the old tiles and also the lining paper but there was also paint below the lining paper. I am looking to fit moisture plasterboard to the walls which will then be fully tiled. I have 2 questions: 1) Can I overboard with dot & dab and will it stick to the old painted wall? 2) Will dot & dab be sufficient enough to hold the weight of the plasterboard and tiles? Thanks, Sam
