Simple way to remove stubborn paper

Posted by Pat Neal, on
I have just removed, reasonably easily, vinyl paper and am left with black paper which has previously been left as too difficult to get off. Pieces have come off so it's patchy. The walls are going yo be plastered and I have been told that it will have to come off. Water isn't doing it. It's impossible to find an edge to lift and if you can only a miniscule piece is coming off. I have tried steaming which is taking so long I have given up. What can I do. The plasterer is due next week and I am desperate

Hi Best way I find is using a garden sprayer but make sure to adjust the nozzle so it’s sprays out mist not jet and use dif wallpaper stripper once you’ve soaked it a couple of times it come off
