Door Casing in new Stud Wall

Posted by David Rogers, on
I want to install a door frame casing in a stud wall in the room above the garage before a plasterer arrives. The rated person I have engaged is not returning my calls so I'll probably have to re-post the job if I don't hear by tonight., Anyway, I need to trim the door casing. Am I right in thinking I need to leave 3mm for plaster and 12.5mm for plasterboard on each side? I can't see the board being flush with the casing but I thought i'd better check before cutting!! Thanks. dave
