So i am doing up my room and only one wall had wallpaper so I stripped off the wallpaper from my wall and I think I have managed to strip some plaster off as I can see large brown patches that look like some sort of wooden board and not like normal wall. The wall under the wallpaper is in pretty bad shape and has lots of paint chips etc..
