Mia, I agree with Alex you really need to get a Plumber to look at the Shower because it could be leaking for numerous reasons; Trap Seal gone Silicon lifting Tile grouting has gaps Tiles lifting from Wall and so on. Bill Pipe Dreams Plumbing Services, Bournemouth, Dorset

Mia, i have fitted many many showers and in this situation you need to have a process of elimination. i agree with alex dont tile until you have proof that is the problem. The way we would deal with this is to run the shower into a bucket, you may need to do this quite a few times but dont let water go anywhere alse in the shower or the waste tip it away in the toilet. If no water comes through the ceiling then eliminates the water supply. then put the shower head in the shower waste and turn it on. again leave this a while and see if water comes through the ceiling. if no water then its not the waste which means then that the shower tray is leaking somewhere.it needs taking out and refitting properly. hope this helps regards mike Midland Home Services
