Why would our water pressure be so low? Takes ages to fill kettle. Thought it was because of drought but neighbours fine.

Hi Rachel, do you have the same problem on all of your mains supplied outlets i.e. Bathroom taps, shower valve? Have you noticed if your toilet cistern is taking a long time to fill? If yes to both of these questions, you may have a fault on your incoming main water supply. It may be the stop tap that is faulty/blocked or anywhere on the pipeline between the internal stop tap and the stop tap in the road at the edge of your property. If the problem is only noticeable at your kitchen tap it may be the tap that is faulty. Before you do anything, make sure that the stop tap is open fully by turning it anti-clockwise until it stops, then turn it a quarter clockwise.
