I want install a shower. I have a gravity fed system, fairly small CWST. Is there a minimum size requirement? Do I sufficient pressure or do I pump the shower?

The normal size cwst of 50 gallons will be enough, if its smaller you could end up out stripping the tank especially is someone else takes a cold water draw from the tank as for pressure what is the height differential between the tank & the shower head? the greater the difference the better the pressure, if its not enough then yes you will need a pump

Ash, I would suggest that you convert property to Cold Mains Supply for all Cold Taps / Shower Cold and a Single Impeller 1.5. Bar Pump for Hot Water Feed from Hot Water Cylinder to feed all Hot Taps / Shower Hot. Then the whole property gets pressurised water. The pump I would suggest should be a Booster Pump and the cost for this is usually around £400.00. The reason for this is that under warranty for a pump they expect you to hold 50 Galleons of standing water in the Cold Water Storage Tank. Also, if you have a small Cold Water Storage Tank then you will need to update it to a minimum of 35 Galleons for the solution above. If you fit a Twin Impeller Pump then all feeds running of Cold Water Storage Tank, then you are sitting on the minimum with a 50 Galleon Tank Cold Water Storage Tank, ideally you should have 70 Galleons minimum.
