My gas fire failed a safety check due to "spilling". is this a problem with the fire or the flue and is it repairable? Thanks

Well as stated you need a gas fire man to sort it out, however spillage is usually flue/chimney related ie the smoke which is used during the test is not being drawn up the up the chimney as it should,
