Hello. I have a house and it takes quite a while for the toilet to fill before it flushes again and taps have low pressure. Do I need a pump to fix?

Joe, This can be caused by several issues; 1. Old Iron Pipe Work which is corrosive and diameter has decreased through build of scale, etc. thus reducing flow rates and increased debris (orange coloured water) 2. Gravity fed system and poor pressure and if combined with 1) makes problem even worse If you fit a pump or pressurised system or Combi Boiler you would first need resolve point 1) if applicable probably by re-piping. If you have copper or plastic piping then no problem with fittiong a pump. I would suggest you get a plumber in to look at your options. Bill Pipe Dreams Plumbing Services, Bournemouth, Dorset
