Hi, it sounds like the company hasn't carried out the flush properly. New boiler installations require a power flush by most manufactures as this is the best form of clearing a system. There is nothing wrong with a chemical flush, sometimes this may be the best option rather than power flushing considering the age and condition of the existing system etc. As well as a power flush, a chemical flush of a system needs to be carried out by a certain method. You can't just expect to compete a chemical flush over a sort amount of time. Necessary tests of the system water are required to determine the size of the system amount of sludge remover to be inhibited. Once the additive had been inhibited, it is required that the heating is to be used over a period no less than two weeks to circulate the sludge remover. After this time, the contractor should return and then carry out the flush of the system. Again, this process also requires a particular method. We always install a magnetic filter onto the system pipework such as an Adey Magnaclean. This will really help to pick up all that dirty sludge from your system and prolong the life of your new boiler. If the plumber has charged you for a chemical flush then I would certainly question his methods. I hope this helps you
