lost my job last year and been in the home a lot since then, I constantly hear water flow in pipes, though can't see any coming out of overflow pipes either WTF

if it's constant then check the toilet 1st as it may have an internal overflow, failing that, you will need to have look under floor boards etc if it's not visible elsewhere
