Bill, that answer is wrong and quite misleading, I know of a company who would do the repair for £100, replace a steelbath for that and labour?

For one you do not know how damaged the bath is, on the other point I said it could cost more than the bath to be replaced. If the bath is badly damaged and needs a complete new enamel it is expensive, the last one a customer had done was £325 for the bath, yes if a minor marks then yes the price will come down but I would still say the minimum price would be £75. Or there are plumbers that buy kits to do this, but does not do a very good job, so you really need a specialist firm. The nearest firm to us in Bournemouth is in Devon, so by the time you add travel, enameling, etc. you can see why it would be expensive. You can change a tin bath for about £225.00 being £80 for the bath and £145 labour.
