Can taps be taken off a cast iron bath without damaging the bath

I have painted my bath with enamel paint can the taps be replaced without damaging the paint finish i have bought taps but not sure how to get them off

Stephen, Yes you take the taps out, but if old taps and been on there a long time, they usually are very difficult to get off. In rare occasions we have to cut the taps out due to the stuff that they filled the hole in with. If fitted more recently then should be easier to take out. I would suggest you get a Plumber in to remove them and there is a chance that the bath may get marked around the area of the taps.
