Do I pay for a quote?

I posted a job for a plumber to quote for a leaking bath. I have been told by many people to always get a minimum of 2-3 quotes, so this is what I have done. I have decided to go with a quote from a plumber recommended by a friend. Will I be charged for the quote for rated people, I was never told this when I was called, but my tenant told me he intends to charge me. Is this right? I thought I would have been told about this at the start and if this would have been the case I would have declined the quote. Many thanks

Hi Rachel, You won't be charged by us for the quote. How we work is that a homeowner posts a job for free using the web form on our homepage. After that, up to three tradesmen will purchase a lead (the chance to quote) for you. As a homeowner, you'll then free to receive all three quotes and can decide who to hire. You are under no obligation to pay any money to the tradesmen who quote if they haven't carried out any work for you. I hope this helps. Best Wishes, Natalie [email protected]
