Plastic pipes to radiator

Posted by elmira amya, on
What is the difference between a copper and plastic pipe feeding to the radiator. Which one is better?

Hi Elmira Fitted correctly they are both as good as each other, however with copper once you have a soldered fitting you know it is solid, plastic speed fit can come loose at any time and once this is in the walls can be a real pain .I believe its your own preference, Copper is without doubt the best option as it will last if fitted well a lifetime and plastic pushfit connectors are not pefect for putting behind paneling and floors as all connectors can not be soldered and they can cause a leak in a future. I think its used alot more these days through plumbers being lazy or not having the relevant skills. Best regards Rafal
