Eric, First thing to ask I guess is how long has this been happening?. If your bathroom is on the ground floor(or you live in a bungalow!) I would say the could be a partial blockage in the drain. Does any water come up in the bath when you let the basin water flow out?. If you can check the outside drains and see if there's any blockage. I wouldn't waste money on any sink unblockers from the supermarket as the rarely work. See how you get on and if I can help anymore just ask. Robert.
