Thomas Dudley cistern-water is running into the pan after flushing?

Posted by michael wright, on
How do I fix a ten year old thomas dudley concealed plastic cistern system if water is still running into the pan after flushing? Does the hydroflo ballcock washer or toilet syphon need replacing?

Michael. It sounds like it is the flush valve itself that is letting water pass. It is possible to replace the washer but there are different types, you my need a plumber to do the job for you as it may be best to change the whole part. OR it could just be the hydrofill not shutting off in which case if your confident you could change it yourself. Consealed cisterns are ok until they go wrong and then repairing can leave you stratching your head!. Put the job on ratedpeople and get 3 rough estimates and go from there. Try and tell what is the exact problem first.....please bare in mind it could be both things!. Hope I've helped!. Robert.
