Macerator installation and checking

Posted by Jennifer Menmuir, on
What is a rough c0st estimate of checking a macerator or declogging a macerator? I understand a new macerator may need to be bought, however at this stage it is purely gaining access and seeing if this is needed. Have checked the national c0st guidelines but this does not specify on macerators.

This is a very messy job so plumbers are reluctant to do it it will probably only take an hour to remove it and strip it down and put it back but i would say around £90 to £150 with it being messy. a replacement macerator is around £350 to £400 depending on the type fitting would be around £90 to £150 hope this helps cheers Ray
